Handle Materials for Fontenille Pataud knives

The knives of Fontenille Pataud are available in many versions and made from various materials. The product codes help to define which material it is. All knives start with the code FP (Fontenille Pataud), followed by the series code (T1 for 'Le Thiers', L7 for 'One Hand' etc.). Then comes the code for the material of the scaling. You will find those codes below with a photo.

That code is possibly followed by an additional code for a blade in damask steel: DI4 for 'rose'-damask and DI for 'twist'-damask.

And finally the TG code can be added to indicate it is a Guilloché version, the knife is then decorated with decorative filing on the top edge of the blade.

It is important to imagine that materials like horn and wood have a natural variation. The photos on this page give a good idea of the available options, but all knives are unique. That also makes those knives extra special.
