Naniwa renewed in 2024: new names and packaging

The Japanese sharpening stones from Naniwa are going through yet another transformation! To fans who have been following this brand for a while, this won't come as a surprise. This isn't the first time Naniwa has changed their collections. Now, in 2024, they do so again. Not only have they renamed their series, they also changed the packaging and have given the stones a bit of a make-over. Let's take a closer look at the changes!

Naniwa Multi Stone = Naniwa Basic Stone

Let's start off with Naniwa's Multi Stones. This series is now called Naniwa Basic Stones! These sharpening stones are perfect for beginners. This collection consists of two combination sharpening stones with grit sizes 220/1000 and 1000/3000. The packaging and the print on the sharpening stones are new. The products and their high quality are unchanged.

Naniwa Super Stones = Naniwa Advance

For people with a bit more experience, there's the Naniwa Advance series! This collection used to be called Naniwa Super Stone. These thin Japanese sharpening stones will help you achieve a razor-sharp edge. The Naniwa Advance Stones offer great value for money and are available from 220 grit to the extremely fine 12000 grit. The packaging and the print on the sharpening stones are new. The products and their high quality are unchanged.

Naniwa Professional = Naniwa Chocera Pro

The Naniwa Professional series is now called Naniwa Chocera Pro. You might be thinking: 'Wasn't that already its name?', and you wouldn't be wrong! This series used to be called Naniwa Chosera. Spelled with an 's'. Just a small change, but don't worry; nothing was changed in terms of quality. The packaging and the print on the sharpening stones are new.

The Naniwa Pocket Pro series has kept its original name. This collection is distinct from the Chocera Pro series. Still, they practically are smaller versions of the Chocera Pro sharpening stones.

Naniwa Diamond Stones = Naniwa Diamond Pro

The Naniwa Diamond Stones series is now called the Naniwa Diamond Pro series! Not much has changed, really. There is a bit more emphasis on the professional application of these stones. These are Naniwa's specialty stones, which are capable of sharpening even the toughest steel types. The packaging and the print on the sharpening stones are new. The products and their high quality are unchanged
