The **Case Trapper** is a traditional pocket knife with a classic Trapper shape. This is a pattern that has its origins amongst hunters and poachers.




You open the Case Knives with two hands. To make this easier, there's a nail nick which gives you a little extra grip using your fingernail. This pocket knife is not equipped with a full lock, only with a slipjoint mechanism. This provides some resistance to prevent the knife from snapping shut during normal use. However, if you press on the spine of the blade, the knife will shut.



## Case Tru-Sharp SS steel
The blade is made of Case Tru-Sharp SS. This is a stainless steel that is actually the same as 420HC steel. This steel allows for fast sharpening, making it easy to maintain a sharp edge.



The blade has been polished, this is a premium blade finish that leaves no room for error. A polished blade ensures minimal friction while cutting, making the knife cut like a dream.



## Synthetic handle
A synthetic material that has been used for knife handles for over 100 years. Synthetic as a handle material has several important advantages. For instance, it is very stable, which means that it stays closely fitted to the handle of the knife, even in fluctuating environmental conditions. Moreover, it is also relatively inexpensive.



## Traditional: the Trapper pattern
This knife is a so-called ‘Trapper’; one of the oldest and more famous ‘patterns’ in the world of Traditionals. Usually, the 2 blades hinge from the same side of the handle. These blades are usually a clippoint and a speypoint, but variations are possible. The origins of this model lie with the poachers who used to set traps and then had to process captured game.
