I like this tool but it came blunt and with varnish on the handle so it gave me blisters. I scraped off the varnish and linseed oiled the handle. I like carrying this with a hultsfors heavy duty knife because you can use the hammer poll to baton kindling without having to make a baton. It’s a little too thin to be a good splitter but it’s a fun and relatively lightweight tool. You can carry it without the handle if you’re going light and carve a handle at the campsite which is fun.

If you are a fan of tomahawks in general, and movies like "The Patriot", "The last of the Mohicans" and similar, you will feel right at home :) Tomahawk it is light and fast in the hand, and really well balanced and fun to use. Head: Edge is sharp, but not razor sharp. I've sharpened it a bit more and after that, it was spot on. Great for light work, like cutting branches (with a little patience you can take down 20 cm tree no issues), throwing is great fun, only thing you'll want is at least to have three of them so you don't have to walk back and forth so often. Finish on it is sturdy and I haven't managed to peel it off after a few torture tests. Handle: American Hickory is remarkably strong, but you can pretty much get anything you want and if you are into woodcarving or pyrography, you can decorate it very nicely. Only thing I would advise is to wrap a handle with paracord or hockey or gaffer tape, something that's not slippery just in case for more control.
