The Estwing Sure splitting wedge has a revolutionary design that turns splitting wood into a piece of cake. The Sure split fins take care of less resistance, so the wedge passes through the wood with one single blow. The wedge is made from Solid America steel. For that reason you should use the tempered surface at the back of the axe when you use this wedge. The wedge is not tempered to make sure you can use tempered tools.
