The **Medford Smooth Criminal** is a cool EDC pocket knife. For a Medford knife, this is a relatively lightweight pocket knife. Its light weight is thanks to the aluminium handle, which has a red anodisation for this version. The name 'Smooth Criminal' didn't appear out of thin air: this knife has an incredibly smooth action.

The blade is made from CPM S45VN. The hollow grind on the blade was applied by hand. This is a unique feature: only few producers apply a hollow grind by hand. It opens superfast thanks to the flipper and the ball bearings. When opened, a solid button lock locks the blade. CPM S45VN is a premium, stainless type of steel. For years, this has been one of the most popular types of steel on the market. For a stainless steel, it is fairly tough and relatively easy to sharpen.

Each Medford knife is made by hand by talented knife makers. Individual differences therefore occur and make each knife unique. All blades are given a hollow grind that is applied by hand.
