The **Real Steel Comerant** is an incredibly special neck knife. After all, it has two handle lengths. Sounds strange? Perhaps it is a little. But it is also very practical.


After all, the Comerant has an extendable handle. With it you can change the length of the handle from 8.4 cm to 11.7 cm. It is a concept you don’t often come across. It enables you to compactly carry the Real Steel Comerant, but also to use it as a fully-fledged knife when you get to work. Never worrying about difficult grip, but always having enough when you need it.


The folding mechanism, like the rest of handle, is made from stainless steel. To ensure it stays open Real Steel has added a type of linerlock. On top of the stainless steel handle you will find a carbon fibre overlay. As a result you will have more grip and the Comerant looks a little cooler.


In terms of steel Real Steel chose Sandvik 14C28N, a stainless type of steel that has definitely proven itself over the years. Stainless and easy to sharpen.


To carry the Comerant with you it comes with a beautiful kydex sheath. Remarkable is the excellent lock that neatly secures the knife in the sheath.

Otro estupendo filo para mí colección. Muy contento. 

Das Messer kam heute an, nachdem ich mich sehr gefreut hatte endlich ein kleines Messer gefunden zu haben, dass alle meine Ansprüche erfüllt. Und vom Messer bin ich nachwievor begeistert. Ich suchte aber extra nach einem 'leisen' Messer, das man tragen kann, ohne komische Blicke zu bekommen. Die knall-oragene Kydex-Scheide, deren Farbe in keiner Weise erwähnt wird, ist da allerdings 180°-kontraproduktiv. Und die Tatsache, dass das Messer mit den Griffschalen nicht mal komplett in die Scheide rein passt und daher die Sicherung auch nur grade so und mit viel Druck rein und raus geht macht das Messer nur sehr bedingt und unsicher einhändig ziehbar und vermittelt nicht annähernd das Sicherheits-Gefühl, das man sich von einer Kydex-Scheide verspricht.

Dennoch möchte ich erneut betonen: Das Messer selbst ist super.
Es liegt gut in der Hand, es lässt sich in allen gängigen Griff-Arten gut greifen (bei manchen Griffarten besser mit ausgeklappter Verlängerung, bei anderen besser ohne; aber dafür ist sie schließlich da) und auch die Schärfe und Schnitthaltigkeit überzeugen definitiv.

Fazit: Super Messer, mit einem guten Stahl zu einem noch besseren Preis. Scheide leider (für meine Einsatzzwecke) unbrauchbar.

Weer zo’n Realsteel mes waarvan je je afvraagt hoe ze het doen, een lemmet dat zo’n beetje groot genoeg is voor alle Bushcraft zaken, een hogelijk gewaardeerd staal, een slimme handgreep en ook nog vederlicht.  Resumerend: licht, praktisch en doordacht

Vraiment bien, l'étuit est vraiment sécurisé le couteau de risque pas de tomber. Bonne prise en main. Prix abordable pour un bon couteau.
