The Rick Hinderer XM-18 3.5&quot; Slicer S45VN Fatty Wharncliffe Stonewash Bronze OD Green, pocket knife is a nice EDC pocket knife in the colour bronze, coyote. With its blade length of 8,9 cm, this knife is ideal for easy carrying. When closed, it's only 12,2 cm long, and it weighs 160 g.



Opening the Rick Hinderer XM-18 3.5&quot; Slicer S45VN Fatty Wharncliffe Stonewash Bronze OD Green, pocket knife is incredibly fast thanks to the flipper or the thumb stud. Once opened, the sturdy frame lock ensures the blade is fixed in place. It prevents the pocket knife from accidentally closing.



## Blade made of CPM S45VN steel
The blade of this Rick Hinderer Knives XM18 3.5&quot; is made of CPM S45VN steel. This is a premium type of stainless steel made by Crucible Industries in the US. S45VN retains its sharpness well, is pretty tough and very corrosion resistant. CPM S45VN  was developed as a successor to CPM S35VN. S45VN retains its sharpness even better than S35VN, and is even more resistant to corrosion too.



The ‘stonewash’ process was chosen for the finish of this blade. The stonewash process involves the blade being placed inside a drum with ceramic stones, or media, and then vibrated or tumbled for several hours. The result is a finish that looks precisely polished or roughened depending on the version. The advantage of stonewashing, however, is that signs of use are much less noticeable. That makes it a popular choice for knives that see a lot of use.
