## The Solar Brother SunTube

Solar Brother's SunTube enables cooking at even higher temperatures. The tube consists of two-layered Boron silicate separated by a vacuum. As a result, the SunTube achieves a maximum temperature of 240 °C! Additionally, this also ensures that the temperature inside the tube stays hot even in cloudy weather. Frying and roasting is a lot faster with the SunTube than with a pan. The SunTube has a capacity of 1L and reaches 200°C in about 10 minutes. The inner tray of the SunTube is 5 cm wide and 49 cm long. For faster preparation, we recommend cutting all ingredients before adding them to the pan.

## The Solar Brother CookUp pan

The SolarBrother CookUp pan achieves a temperature of 100 to 120 °C. As a result, there are plenty of recipes to try out! How long it takes for your dish to cook depends on the pan, the heat the cooker achieves in a situation and the ingredients that need to be cooked. This is an indication of preparation times per ingredient or recipe: 30 minutes to heat something up, 1 hour for cooking a vegetable dish (leeks, potatoes, carrots, etc.) and 2 hours for cooking meat and fish. The SunGood solar cooker does not boil large quantities of water. To cook rice, use 2 glasses of water for 1 glass of rice. For faster preparation, we recommend cutting all ingredients before adding them to the pan.

## How to use the Solar Brother SunGood solar cooker

Attach the mirrors, and snap together the solar cooker to create a parabolic shape. No tools necessary! Place the pan or SunTube holders in the centre of the oven and put your ingredients in the pan or SolarTube. Place the lid on the pan, put the pan in the cooking bag. Then place the whole on top of the pan holder in the centre of the solar cooker. With the SolarTube it's even easier. Place the handle back on the SolarTube and place the whole on the holders in the centre of the solar cooker. That's it! Do take the wind into account. In case of wind, we recommend securing the SunGood with pegs (not supplied) or a weight on the flaps at the back of the solar cooker.

In addition, this lightweight solar cooker is easy to fold and carry in the included bag. When folded, the solar cooker measures: 34 x 25.5 x 2.8 cm. 

## Solar Brother: the 3 Cs of successful solar cooking 

  * **Concentration:** concentrating the sun's rays on the pan by means of mirrors. The more sunlight you manage to capture and concentrate in one spot, the more efficiency you get from your solar cooker.
  * **Capture:** capturing and transmitting the concentrated energy as efficiently as possible in order to heat up your food. For this, use a special solar pan or a matt black, thin-walled pan.
  * **Conservation:** retaining the captured heat/energy in your solar cooker. You obviously want to get as much output as possible from your solar cooker. Depending on your model of solar cooker, it is important to insulate the pot or tube against the elements, e.g. the wind. You can use the included baking bags for this purpose.
