## Work Sharp Ken Onion Mk.2 Elite scope of delivery

The Work Sharp Ken Onion Knife and Tool Sharpener Mk.2, also called the KO2 by Work Sharp, is available in two versions. This is the version that does not come with the [Work Sharp Blade Grinding Attachment Ken Onion Edition Knife & Tool Sharpener Mk.2, WSSAKO81122, sharpening  accessory](/en/pt/-work-sharp-blade-grinding-attachment-ken-onion-edition-knife-and-tool-sharpener-mk2-wssako81122-sharpening-accessory.htm).

The Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Knife & Tool Sharpener Mk.2 electric knife sharpener comes with sharpening belts of the following grit sizes: 120, 220, 1000, 3000 and 6000 grit.

**Note:** this version of the product comes with an EU plug, meaning it is designed for use in countries that follow the European standard for power outlets. It cannot be directly used in countries with a different plug type, such as the UK, without a compatible plug adapter or converter. Please ensure you have the necessary equipment if you intend to use this product in a country with a different standard.


## Work Sharp Ken Onion Mk.2 stronger electric motor

The motor has received a major upgrade. It runs at 50/60 Hz, 0.8 A and delivers 140 watts of power. This more powerful motor has a longer operational time of 30 minutes, ensuring long-term and reliable operation. This time span is more than sufficient for sharpening several knives.

## Work Sharp Ken Onion Mk.2 speed control: seven speeds

The biggest improvement to the Ken Onion Mk.2 is the digital speed control. The previous model had a dial on the trigger that allowed you to adjust the speed of the belt, which could sometimes be a bit of a hassle. Work Sharp has solved this by adding a couple of knobs on the top of the handle. You still activate the machine with the trigger and you can lock the speed with a button, leaving your hands free for sharpening, just like the previous model. But instead of the dial, you now use the plus button to increase the speed and the minus button to decrease it. There are seven speed levels, and LED lights clearly indicate which level you're currently using. Do you want to switch off the machine? Simply press the yellow button with the circle. It's incredibly intuitive!

## Work Sharp Ken Onion Mk.2 sharpening angles

Another upgrade is the way you can adjust the sharpening angle. This used to be located vertically on the sharpening angle guide. Now, it is fitted horizontally, so it's easier to see the angle. The guides have a soft piece of leather on the inside to prevent scratching the blade of your knife. The sharpening angles have not changed. You can adjust the sharpening angle to your liking in 0.5-degree increments from 15 to 30 degrees.

The Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Knife & Tool Sharpener Mk.2 contains parts from both the United States and China. The product is assembled in the United States.

We measure the sharpening angle ourselves. This value is the angle per side.  So 20º means that the total angle of the edge is 40º. Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
