The **Böker Plus Kaizen Green Canvas Micarta 01BO391** is a slim and light-weight gentleman's knife. The name and design immediately make you think of a Japanese design. Opening the knife is quite remarkable: it works like a type of flipper. But without the flipper actually sticking out. It is more the grip you have thanks to the grip serrations. As such the knife looks very clean. 

The blade is made from is tough D2-steel. A popular choice that retains its sharpness well. The handle is made from micarta, enhanced with cool bronze coloured accents. A linerlock ensures that the knife won't accidentally close. Due to its slim profile and weight you hardly notice the Böker Kaizen in your pocket.

Fin et élégant, de bons matériaux et bons assemblages
Par contre le flipper est nul, autant discret qu’inefficace. N’espérez pas l’ouvrir facilement, à moins d’avoir des ergots plutôt que des doigts. Dommage.

Couteau un peu petit et trop difficile à ouvrir. Par contre  très discret dans la poche

Experience with K&T is great.
However, this is the 2nd time that i've bought this knife and it came with issues. First was a safety closing issue, and second was the belt clip falling off and not being able to secure it again.
I might have a purely anecdotal experience but I'm done with Böker knives basically forever because of this.

Also, um ehrlich zu sein hätte ich erwartet das dieses Messer größer ist, bin aber tatsächlich kein Stück enttäuscht. Ich wollte etwas schlankes, harmlos aussehendes für die Hemdtasche und genau das ist es was ich bekam. Das Böker Plus Kaizen kommt typisch in einem kleinen, schwarzen Etui daher und selbst dieses wirkt wertig verarbeitet und recht robust. Ich selber habe mir von einer Ausführung in D2 wie dieser hier erhofft ein stabiles Messer zu haben das leicht nachzuschärfen ist und genau das ist es auch. 

Zum ersten Eindruck:
Der Flipper ist sehr klein und unauffällig gehalten, was zwar großartig zur gesamten Ästhetik des Messers passt und auch anders nicht stimmig wäre, aber für mich persönlich hat es eine Weile gedauert bis ich es raus hatte das Messer mit einem satten und befriedigenden Aufschnappgeräusch zu öffnen. Akustisch gesehen definitiv ein Pleaser. Was mich störte war das Gefühl als sei Sand in die Kugellager gelangt. Es fühlte sich ein wenig kratzig an und tut es noch. Ich kann zwar nicht genau sagen woher es kommt, werde jedoch ein Update verfassen wenn sich mir dies erschließt.
Das Micarta hat einen immer nich sehr natürlichen, beinahe klassischen Look und fühlt sich großartig an.
Auch meine Bedenken das die Schalen sich leicht in der Hand verdrehen würden oder ich leicht rutschen und in die zugegebenermaßen echt verdammt scharfe Klinge rutschen könnte wurden recht schnell zerstreut, denn der Grip ist klasse für ein so schlankes Messer. 

Das Liner Lock, welches zuerst nicht sonderlich stabil wirkte, hält überraschend gut und ist leicht zu erreichen und lässt absolut null Gewackel zu.
Generell hat die Klinge weder aufgeklappt noch eingeklappt null Spiel und das spricht sehr für das Messer. 
In meinem Fall war die Klinge perfekt gecentert und hatte nicht den geringsten Überstand im eingeklappten Zustand.

Die Montage ist fehlerfrei und keine der Schrauben musste nachgezogen werden. Der fast deep carry pocket Clip ist solide und lässt sich angenehm über den Stoff führen, die kupferfarben beschichteten Applikationen fühlen sich hochwertig verarbeitet an und sind ausgesprochen kratzresistent.

Alles in allem ein tolles Executive Style Messer zu einem Preis bei dem man echt nicht meckern kann.

Lieferung erfolgte wie gewohnt sehr schnell und transparent. Wie immer ein Lob dafür.

Fazit: Klasse Teil, gerne wieder, echte Empfehlung meinerseits.

Produit bien réalisé, articulation fluide et verrouillage fonctionnel. Aucun décentrage de la lame. Affûtage OK en sortie de boite.

Pour le côté subjectif, j'apprécie la finesse de la lame et l'élégance générale du design réhaussé par le choix des matériaux.
