The **Civivi Foldis** is an EDC pocket knife with an excellent price-quality ratio. The minimalist flipper perfectly matches the Foldis' subtle looks. Despite the small surface area of the flipper, it's very easy to open the blade. This mechanism runs really smoothly thanks to the ceramic ball bearings. The blade is enhanced with a slipjoint mechanism. This means that the knife isn't really locked. Which is nice, because it makes this knife legal to carry in many countries. 

## G10 handle

The handle is made from G10. A strong and light-weight material made from fibreglass and synthetic resin. G10 offers great grip, especially considering its weight. Making it the perfect material for a knife handle!

## Nitro-V steel blade

The blade is made from Nitro-V steel. This type of steel offers similar performance to AEB-L and 14C28N steel. These are tried and tested steels with great sharpness retention! You open the blade with the flipper after which a solid liner lock locks the blade.

Prima, wie immer gute civivi Qualität und top preis leistung. Tolles Kozept, Flipper als 42a konform. K&T Versand auch wie immer top.

Hatte 5 Flipper zum Vergleich die man führen darf: Zwei davon waren zwar leichtgängig, aber mit meiner (geringen) Fingerkraft schnippten sie nicht immer zuverlässig komplett auf. Die zwei anderen waren so schwergängig zu flippen (zumindest für meine Anatomie), dass mir die Finger weh taten. Das Civivi Foldis klappt jedes mal wunderbar aus. Es ist scharf, hätte von mir aus auch 1cm länger sein können, aber  so stört es überhaupt nicht in der Tasche. Das Material fühlt sich gut an. Die Optik ist vielleicht nicht umwerfend aber sehr gut. Ich mag optisch nur das schwarze Modell

On paper the Civivi Foldis ticks all boxes for me as an EDC knife:
Elegant and inconspicuous blackout design by Ostap Hel, slim and lightweight carry, great all-round drop-point blade that slices well and a fast oping action with fidget factor. Most importantly, it fits German legal carry restrictions (§42a) as a non-lockable folder that can be opened with one hand. It is basically as close to a carry-legal substitute to Civivi's Elementum as one can get in Germany.

So why can't I fully recommend it? The double detent bearing spoiled the Foldis for me, unfortunately. The smooth flip action feels great, but accidental openings and closings happen way too easily, even if you handle it carefully.

Très bon couteau EDC. Léger, ouverture éclair, finitions impeccables (Civivi quoi).
