I love this knife... but... The reputation of the SRK precedes this review, and I don't have much to add to all that has already been said. I do love the SRK (and SRK-C), but I am really not a fan of hollow grinds. It does however perform beautifully at most tasks and makes for an excellent budget "survival" knife. However, if you have a little more cash to spend I would HIGHLY recommend going for the Cold Steel SRK in CPM-3V... not only because of the premium steel but that edition doers have a flat grind, which takes this knife to a whole new level! Alternatively, if you like this general design but want something even more premium & potent, take a look at the Fallkniven A1 or S1 (or the "X" series of either of those), these offer a far more functional knife for the heavier tasks, especially processing wood, and have a beautiful convex grind that comes hair shaving sharp. I’ve used this knife to it’s maximum I feel, used it for bushcraft, fishing, cutting food and most things while I’m camping it’s been really useful, I feel like it’s a perfect knife if your looking for something sturdy and durable, blade ain’t as sharp as I want but i can always sharpen it, over all beautiful knife

Blade: Is burly, rugged, reliable. I haven't tested it in car door, but hard wood, heavy duty plastic, even on a fence wire, no issues. It's a hollow grind, but not in the least it affected the performance of the knife at all. The tip of the knife is acute and pointy, but not too thin. Sharpness was great right out of the box, but a few passes on a fine stone followed by a strop really made it pop (shaving quality). Clean after use and apply mineral oil or blade oil (I've bought one here, spot on for the job. ) Handle: I have L size gloves and the handle is very comfy and secure in the hand. When I close my fist, it's perfect fit. Kraton material for handle is rubbery feel sticky, so if your hands get wet, it won't slip. Sheath: So, it's next level. Strong, though, holds knife extremely well. Better than on some more expensive knives. I've used it with MOLLE attachments to the vest, the retention and grip of sheath is fantastic, and ability to lash the sheath into different positions is a plus.
