The Extrema Ratio RAO is a very solid tactical folding knife with a very heavy and strong blade, provided with an extremely secure lock plus and additional safety mechanism in the form of a manually tightening steel pin. The sheath meets the military M.O.L.L.E. requirements and is delivered with a diamond sharpener. The RAO can be stored in the sheath in both folded and unfolded position. The development of this knife is commissioned by the '185° Rgt. Ricognizione ed Acquisizione Obiettivi' (Target Acquisition Regiment) airborne 'Folgore' (185° RAO). The motto of this special regiment is: 'Videre Nec Videri' (See without being seen).  
  


The RAO II distinguishes itself from the older RAO because the blade has a drop-point instead of the original tanto-shape. Also, the shape is more rounded which provides an improvement of the ergonomics.

personnellement je le trouvait hyper costaud,mais la personne a qui il etait destinner n aime pas les GROS couteaux pliant
et il sagit ici d un couteau que l on peut appeller MALABAR, mais pas de sousis car nous avons chez K&T un retour possible et de pouvoir en acheter alors un autre!!!

The Extrema Ration Rao II is a serious folder. I was looking for a heavy duty folder that could do the jobs of a fixed blade. This is that knife. Great brand, great design, great quality and excellent customer service from knivesandtools - recommended

Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.

Ein sehr kräftiges Messer für harten Einsatz, allerdings erschließt sich mir immer noch nicht, warum man mit einem solchen Messer dickere Äste abhacken soll. Dafür gibt es andere Werkzeuge.
