The LionSteel M4 is an all-round fixed knife, designed by Michele Moletta Pensato. It is designed as a knife for bushcraft and other outdoor enthusiasts. Large enough for comfortable use and compact enough to take with you on hikes. On the one hand the design of this knife is very modern. On the other hand it looks like a classic hunting knife. LionSteel knows how to balance these two like no other.

 The blade is made from Böhler M390 steel. This is an Austrian type of super steel. One of the best high-end choices at the moment. M390 excels when it comes to sharpness retention and corrosion resistance. On the spine of the blade, around the transition of the handle, you find a small protrusion. So small you hardly notice it, but large enough to offer your thumb more grip. The entire spine has a lovely finish, something we often see on Italian knives. The walnut-wood handle is enhanced with subtle grip grooves. These give the knife a graceful and elegant look and feel.

 To carry the LionSteel M4 with you, it comes with a right-handed leather belt sheath. The maximum belt width for this sheath is 8.0 cm.

I bought this knife after seeing the Dutch Bushcraft Knives guys review do a review on it. I can honestly say that this knife exceeded my expectations. The knife is shaving sharp out of the box, as promised, and the handle feels great in the hand - I cannot stop picking it up and holding it. The walnut is a great finish on the handle too. M390 steel is considered a 'super steel' presently, and as such this knife is great value for money. 

This is literally one of the best designed knives I've seen, and the rounding of the tang is simply beautiful. 

Das LIONSTEEL M4 Walnuss ist nach dem Classic Opera bereits mein zweites Modell aus der Manufaktur im italienischen Menagio. Die Wertanmutung des handgemachten Vollerlmessers direkt beim "unboxing" ist enorm und hält, was sie verspricht. Der extrem harte und trotzdem robuste M390-Stahl wird rasiermesserscharf geliefert und hält die Eigenschaft sehr lang. Danach lässt sich die Klinge problemlos schärfen. Das M4 ist für meine Camping-Zwecke ideal geeignet und macht einfach richtig Spaß beim Einsatz draußen.
