The **Marttiini Lumberjack Carbon** is a traditional Finnish Puukko. These knives were used in Scandinavia as all-rounders. From everyday cutting tasks to hunting and fishing. These knives are even suitable for food prep or for use in your kitchen. The inspiration for this knife was therefore drawn from the almost 100 years of history and experience in knife making that the Finnish brand Marttiini has. The knife is made from natural materials. Wood for the handle and leather for the sheath.

The knife features a scandi grind. The scandi grind, as the name suggests, originates from Scandinavia. The scandi grind has been the standard for ages when it comes to outdoor knives, hunting knives and bushcraft knives. In fact, a large v-shaped edge, without any further frills. A scandi grind is easy to manufacture and easy to sharpen at home. A scandi grind is great for wood work. Because the blade is relatively thick, it is very strong and can handle quite a lot.

## Birch wood handle

The handle is made from coloured birch wood The end of the handle flares out a bit, which gives the user a better grip when the knife is pulled out of the sheath or in use. The wood has a dark brown colour, and the light weight makes the knife comfortable to carry on your belt, for example. 

## Carbon steel blade

The blade is made from carbon steel with a black coating. Carbon steel is a popular choice for outdoor knives. The advantage of carbon steel is that it is often tougher than stainless steel, and it is very easy to sharpen yourself. 

## Leather sheath

The Marttiini Lumberjack Carbon comes with a leather sheath. Like the handle of the knife, the sheath has a dark colour and a distinct shape. Marttiini's logo has been lasered onto the sheath. The sheath has a leather loop that allows you to attach it to a belt, for example.

Mio primo vero coltello per bushcraft
Per adesso non ho avuto modo di provarlo sul campo, ma in casa è stato usato per sgrossare il legno da intagliare con il mora 120 e 164.
So che è un coltello artigianale, molato a mano ecc e difatti ha quei piccoli difettini che lo rendono rustico e per me apprezzabile alla vista, detta tra noi è più bello così che tutto lucido e lavorato a laser.
Forse c'è stato un piccolo errore di molatura del tagliente verso la punta, ma non intacca la qualità ottima del taglio

Zeer mooi eenvoudig maar stoer vast mes. Ik heb het nu standaard in mijn outdoor tas zitten voor allerlei klusjes.
