The **Mora Basic 511 Limited Edition 2024 Carbon** is a limited edition, all-round outdoor knife. Each year, Morakniv releases a new Limited Edition. The same quality and usability, but with other colours. This year it's a combination of Dala Red and Ivy Green. This colour combination was inspired by Mora attire, as well as the beautiful red colour that has given character to the houses of Mora and its surroundings for decades. This limited edition will only be produced in 2024.

## Mora Basic 511 Limited Edition 2024 Carbon blade:

The blade of this limited edition is made from carbon steel. As with all carbon steel blades, it is important to properly maintain the blade. Carbon steel is, after all, not stainless and needs to be stored while clean and dry. Carbon steel, however, is often harder than the stainless steel version. As such the knife can be sharpened to a higher level of sharpness, and will also retain its sharpness longer.

## Mora Basic 511 Limited Edition 2024 handle:

The handles for the Morakniv Basic collection have been the same for years. The round handle is made from solid plastic with a light pattern for optimal grip. The front and back of the handle have protrusions to make sure the handle won't slip from your hand. For this limited edition version, the handle colour is a combination of red and green.

## Mora Basic 511 Limited Edition 2024 sheath:

The sheath is also made from sturdy plastic. In the case of this limited version, it has a unique green colour. The knife clips into the sheath with an audible click. Grooves at the top offer enough grip for your thumb as you remove the knife from the sheath. An opening at the base of the holster allows for drainage of water if needed.

The belt clip has a special design. You can, of course, use the belt clip to secure the sheath to the belt, but you can also add another Morakniv sheath. This means you can stack multiple knives from this collection. Super practical if you want to carry a serrated knife and a regular knife at the same time. The easiest way to disconnect the sheaths is by turning the top sheath a quarter turn to release the button that secures it.

A true classic and a staple for any knife collection. The Scandi grind is very easy to maintain, carves nicely and especially for a beginner you don't lose a lot of money if you break it (which is very unlikely to happen) or if you screw up the grind.
