The **Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight CPM SPY-27 C223PCBL** is a cool EDC pocket knife. The Para 3 Lightweight is a lighter version of the incredibly popular Spyderco Para 3. As the name might already suggest it weighs next to nothing: only 70 grams. As a result it is one of the lighter EDC pocket knives on the market. Especially when you look at its size.



Fortunately this doesn't mean that it is less solid than the G10-version. The FRN handle is often used on Spyderco knives and we know that it can handle quite a lot. This FRN handle, however, is different. The grip pattern, for instance, is slightly more shallow. As a result the handle is only 11 cm thick and barely noticeable in your pocket.



You open the Spyderco Para 3 Light-Weight with the thumb hole, as you have grown accustomed to from Spyderco. One of the most easy ways of opening a knife if you ask us. When opened Spyderco's own Compression Lock locks the blade. This is a rock-solid lock you control on the spine of the handle.



This edition of the Para 3 is enhanced with a blade made from CPM SPY-27 steel. A remarkable type of steel that was specifically designed with and for Spyderco. It looks a lot like CPM S30V and CPM S35VN, with comparable sharpness retention and toughness. SPY-27, however, is, because of the addition of cobalt and a little less carbon and vanadium, easier to sharpen.



The Spyderco Para 3 light-weight is one of the most accessible and fine EDC-knives in the light-weight range. A pocket knife that will fit any collection and any user.

Ik gebruik deze nu en tweetal weekjes als EDC. Ja als je regelmatig eens over een stripje gaat behoudt dit ding zeer goed z´n snede. Ik heb de mijne onder 22° hoekjes gezet en dat gaat goed. Scherscherp. Je kunt gerust een doos demoleren zonder dat je opnieuw moet gaan slijpen.

Ze blijven spuuglelijk maar ook deze ligt weer fenomenaal goed in mijn klauwen. Ik heb veel te veel messen maar ´t is deze die dagelijks mee op pad gaat. Het oogt ook wat komisch en minder tacticool wat agent bromsnor dan weer milder stemt.

Mein zweites Para3 lightweight. Ideales Arbeitsmesser, sehr tauglicher Stahl.

Ich empfand die FRN Griffschalen als zu scharfkantig. Passt nicht zum hohen Preis. Sonst schönes Messer.

Great user knife, not as clumsy in the pocket as a Para 3 but just as useful.
