Poor quality control on this particular knife, micro burr left on the blade, also blade is slightly off centre, sloppy workmanship. In retrospect I should have sent it back.

Knife arrived on time as expected and on opening the package was very pleased with MY PM2, this knife is well reviewed all over the net and I have to agree it's a great knife. Well made and a nice weight, and a great price at knives & tools.

As an everyday pocket knife the Paramilitary 2 is quite large, it’s ideal if you’re going to use it for more than opening boxes and envelopes. It’s great for camping, climbing, abseiling, all the outdoor stuff that involves cutting rope or wood.

The first one I got was a lemon. It had terrible action, and was just faulty in every aspect. Returned it for a new one, and boy is this knife a keeper in my collection - definitely! Bought this as my first Spyderco after reading rave reviews and recommendations. Initially I was disappointed with the knife and was considering returning it as I found it too large for an EDC and thought I should maybe get the Para3 instead. However after a week or so I now really like it. Sharp as a laser out the box and although the action on mine was a little stiff it has now smoothed out and opens rapidly with a flick of the finger. Very expensive for what amounts to a penknife but at the same time the cheapest option if you are considering a PM2. Very quick delivery from Knives and tools. I had read mixed reviews regarding their delivery times and spent 2 days trying to decide whether to use them. However, as the knife was shown as in stock on the website I bit the bullet and gave them a try. Ordered on Monday arrived Wednesday morning. Can't knock that when you consider the item was being delivered to the UK from the Netherlands. All in all a great knife. A word of warning though, try to remember it is a knife and not a pry-bar or screwdriver as that tip won't take the abuse but it will cut whatever you need it to.
