Carryosity #1 Knife Only Edition: Top 3 Benchmade 2020 knives

Everybody owns an every day carry: an EDC. These are all the tools you carry with you on a daily basis. An EDC says something about who you are as a person, and how prepared you are on a daily basis. It is also great to match all your EDC items. It is quite tricky to assemble an EDC. In Carryosity we select the perfect EDC for you based on the most popular themes and brands.

Before you start comprising an every day carry it is important to have the right basis. This is a knife you use to build your EDC around. But which knife should you choose? You often already have a brand in mind. Benchmade, for instance. One of the best brands in the world and a pioneer when it comes to EDC knives. In 2020 Benchmade will also introduce many cool, new models. Both for EDC and bushcraft enthusiasts. In this Carryosity #1 we made a list of our three favourites.

1. Benchmade Leuku 202

An EDC for in nature is always a good idea. Even if you go for a simple walk in the woods it is important to be prepared for anything. After the success of the Puukko Benchmade has introduced the Benchmade Leuku 202. A knife inspired by a Scandinavian classic. Benchmade stayed true to the classic design, but updated it with modern materials. The CPM 3V steel blade, for instance! This is one of the best and toughest types of steel on the market today.

2. Benchmade Tengu 601

The Benchmade Tengu 601 was designed by Jared Oeser, who is known for his handmade traditional pocket knives. The Benchmade Tengu is a stunning example of a traditional design with a modern look and feel. Only modern and premium materials were chosen for this knife. The Tengu 601 has a handle made from black-white layered G10. The blade is made from CPM-20CV steel. A great type of steel that retains its sharpness well and is corrosion resistant. The Tengu is a tanto-flipper-gentleman's knife without pocket clip with a leather sheath. A unique combination and it is amazing to work with!

3. Benchmade Bugout Black 535BK-2

The Benchmade Bugout 535BK-2 is an amazing pocket knife. Anyone who has heard of Benchmade has heard of the Bugout. Light-weight, not too large, premium materials and sublime movements. The Bugout can be used for any task. From opening boxes to preparing a nice meal while camping. As such it is not that surprising that many EDC enthusiasts have crowned the Bugout as the perfect pocket knife. This version of the Bugout is enhanced with a black DLC-coating and a black CF-Elite handle. A tough combination!
