The **Case Medium Stockman** is a true classic in the pocket knife world. This pattern is almost as old as the whole category of traditionals. This Case Stockman is a very pure incarnation of this classic design. It has three blades: a clip point blade as a *main blade*, a 5 cm sheepsfoot blade and — would a Stockman be without it? — a spey blade. This is a spear point with a somewhat blunt tip. This blade shape was originally used for gutting game. 

When opened the three blades are kept in place by a slipjoint lock. Because Case uses two lock-springs to keep three blades in place, it is unavoidable that the blades are close together and may even touch each other when the knife is closed. This is a part of the design of the blade and also gives it its authentic charm. 

## Case Tru-Sharp SS steel

The blade is made from Case Tru-Sharp SS. This is a stainless steel that is similar to 420HC steel. A distinguishing feature of this type of steel is that it can be sharpened super sharp, very quickly. 

## Brown Bone, Peach Seed Jig

The handle is made from *Brown Bone*. This is in fact cow bone that has been given an interesting texture. It has been treated in an attractive colour and nicely polished. This is a truly classic handle material that radiates class and elegance. The ideal match for Case knives. For this knife, a *Peach Seed Jig* texture has been chosen.
