The **Fenix HM65R-DT** head torch was specifically designed for trail running. It is a version of the Fenix HM65R. With the Fenix HM65R-DT, you benefit from several advantages, such as different light colours and longer battery life. Additionally, the Fenix HM65R-DT has a head band, weight, material and maximum output that are all perfectly tailored to trail running. The patented head band with twist-system is comfortable and can easily be adjusted to make sure it always stays in place.

The Fenix HM65R-DT is equipped with two separate LEDs. One for a focused beam with white light and one wider beam with yellow light for better performance in foggy and bad weather conditions. Combined with a weight of 91 grams and a burn time of up to 300 hours this head torch is perfect for challenging outdoor sports such as trail running. The light can handle a fall from a height of up to 2 metres and works at temperatures between -35 ℃ and 45 ℃.

## How to use the Fenix HM65R-DT

With the two different switches you can control both beams independently. These beams have a combined 1500 lumens. Both switches were designed in a way that allows you to easily use them while wearing gloves. One switch controls the broad beam, the other the focused beam. By holding one of the switches down you turn on the light. The light will immediately start in the mode last used. To switch beams or modes you briefly press the preferred switch.

### Broad light modes for the Fenix HM65R-DT (3000K)

  * High: 400 lumens, burn time of approx. 12 hours if you wish to get an overview of a larger area.
  * Medium: 130 lumens, burn time of approx. 24 hours. Great if you wish to tie your shoes or are looking for something on the ground.
  * Low: 5 lumens, burn time of approx. 300 hours. You can use this mode to read a map, for example.

### Focused light modes for the Fenix HM65R-DT (6500K)

  * Turbo: 1300 lumens burn time of approx. 4 hours*, you use this mode while climbing.
  * High: 400 lumens, burn time of approx. 12 hours. Great if you want to see where you are going during trail running.
  * Low: 130 lumens, burn time of approx. 24 hours. This mode is great for when you're running on even ground.
  * *The burn time of the highest light mode is calculated at the moment the lamp is switched on in the highest mode. After 2-3 minutes, the light automatically switches to a lower mode due to the temperature regulation.

You don't want the light to accidentally turn on while you are on the road. To ensure it doesn't, you can use the lock-out mode. To activate this mode the head torch needs to be turned on. At that moment you will press both switches about three seconds. The head torch won't turn on now. To deactivate this mode you press both switches again. 

## Charging the Fenix HM65R-DT

You can easily charge the light via the USB-C port. A rubber cover ensures that the flashlight is protected against water and dust. Also, it protects the USB-port against damages. Want to check the battery status while charging the light? A blue charging indicator will show you the charging status. It will take up to 3 hours to charge the battery. As soon as it is fully charged the indicator will turn blue.

## Intelligent protection

If you use the turbo mode for a longer period of time the light will start to heat up. When the light reaches a temperature of 65 degrees Celsius or higher, the light will automatically drop the amount of lumen to lower the temperature. As soon as the temperature drops the light will switch back to the turbo mode.

Handig voor trailrunning, wandelen. Gewicht valt mee. Heel goed verlichting. 

De lamp heeft een breedstraler van 3000k voor dichtbij te verlichten (+_ 20m) en een andere spotlight lamp van 4000k (+_ 150m). Elke lamp heeft een aparte schakelaar.
Beide lampen hebben 3 lichtsterktes die je heel makkelijk kan cyclisch kan aflopen, low -med - high.
Om de lamp aan te zetten moet je de knop erboven een paar seconden ingedrukt houden, om uit te schakelen net hetzelfde. De lichtsterkte is fenomenaal. Indien je beide lampen op de hoogste stand gebruikt wordt de lamp/ behuizing heel warm en gaat de lamp na ongeveer 3-4 min minder fel branden, zelfs dan heb je nog ruim voldoende licht. Bovenaan heb je blauwe leds die het niveau van de batterij weergeven telkens je de lamp uit/aan schakelt. De behuizing voelt solide aan. De brede band was ook één van de reden dat ik voor deze lamp heb gekozen. Heel comfortabel dus. De hoofdband is eenvoudig aan te spannen door aan de knop te draaien en volledig los te maken moet je dezelfde knop omhoog trekken. Het enige minpunt iets zwaarder dan mijn vorige looplamp van Petzl (plastic behuizing). Dit komt door de metalen behuizing en de grotere batterij, hierdoor gaat de lamp veel langer mee en is ze  geschikt voor lange trails zonder reserve batterijen in de pocket. Deze lamp loodst je veilig door de nacht.
De bestelling was zaterdagavond geplaatst en vrijdag is de lamp geleverd.
