The **Kizer Bowtie 1061A1 Stonewashed D2** is a small and compact neck knife with a sleek and practical design. The handle is small but relatively wide to provide a good grip. The round handle sits comfortably in the hand. The blade is thin and sharp with a flat grind along its entire length. The included sheath offers various carrying options, including around the neck, in the pocket, on a belt or on a backpack strap.

## Blade made of D2 steel
The blade of the Kizer Bowtie 1061A1 Stonewashed D2, neck knife is made of D2. This is a tool steel that has been used for all kinds of cutting tools since World War II. It is tough, easy to sharpen and retains its sharpness very well. Do take care around moisture and acids; D2 is not entirely stainless. It may discolour or even rust if not properly taken care of. Therefore, it's important to clean and dry the blade after use, and a drop of oil every once in a while can't hurt.



The ‘stonewash’ process was chosen for the finish of this blade. The stonewash process involves the blade being placed inside a drum with ceramic stones, or media, and then vibrated or tumbled for several hours. The result is a finish that looks precisely polished or roughened depending on the version. The advantage of stonewashing, however, is that signs of use are much less noticeable. That makes it a popular choice for knives that see a lot of use.



The Kizer Bowtie 1061A1 Stonewashed D2, neck knife comes with a sheath made of kydex, a sturdy plastic that will keep the steel safe. However, it is important to keep a kydex sheath clean on the inside. Rinse it regularly with water. This will prevent dirt from remaining in the sheath, which can scratch the blade.
