The **Medford Pro The San Black G10** honours Africa's early forest dwellers, the 'San'. It is a simple full-tang design for ultimate strength, balance and comfort during heavy-duty tasks. This knife is part of Medford's professional line. 

## Medford The San blade

The blade is made from CPM 3V steel. This is an extremely tough tool steel that can handle whatever you throw at it. You do need to be careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely stainless. Make sure to clean the knife after use and occasionally apply a drop of oil to keep it in great shape. The uncoated blade makes it easy to use a firesteel when getting a fire started.

## Medford The San handle

Made of lightweight and strong G10, the handle is slightly textured for extra grip. This allows you to hold the knife delicately and firmly for various precise cutting tasks. You use the dimple in one side of the handle in combination with a bow drill. At the back, the steel protrudes slightly, allowing you to strike with the back of the knife. Ideal for hammering your pegs into the ground, for example.

The San comes with an American premium leather sheath.
