The **Medford Swift Flipper PVD handle** is a relatively slim and light-weight pocket knife produced by Medford Knives. You can clearly see Medford's design characteristics. With the Swift, however, these are more streamlined for an even sleeker design. This is the framelock version of the Swift. Without spring for an assisted opening. 100% made in the United States, from American materials, by a veteran-run company.

The large blade made from CPM S45VN steel is hollow-ground by hand. This is a unique feature: only few producers apply a hollow grind by hand. With the thumb slot you can easily open the blade. At first this might take some getting used to. When opened, a solid framelock keeps the blade securely in place. Medford pressed the stop-pin in the blade. As a result, it symmetrically leans against the handle. This adds strength.

CPM S45VN is a premium, stainless type of steel. For years, this has been one of the most popular types of steel on the market. For a stainless steel, it is fairly tough and relatively easy to sharpen.

Medford enhanced this version with an aluminium handle with a titanium lock side.

Each Medford knife is made by hand by talented knife makers. Individual differences therefore occur and make each knife unique. It takes approximately one year for Medford to ship their knives.
