The **Rick Hinderer Fieldtac 6" OD-Green micarta** is a large and solid fixed knife, designed by Rick Hinderer. It is made from 5 mm thick steel, perfect for demanding use. The total length of 29 cm of the Fieldtac is impressive. A top-quality fixed knife.

## Rick Hinderer Fieldtac 6 Nitro-V steel

The almost 16 cm long blade is made from Nitro-V steel. A rock-solid and corrosion resistant type of steel. You don't have to worry if the knife gets wet or dirty. It won't discolour or rust. We do, however, recommend drying the knife before you store it. In addition, Nitro-V retains its sharpness for a long time and is surprisingly lightweight. Despite its relatively long and thick blade, the knife only weighs 280 grams. You'd expect Nitro-V to be difficult to sharpen because it is a hard type of steel, but this is not the case. The hardness makes sharpening challenging. The steel is easy to sharpen. As such it won't take a lot of effort or time to end up with a razor-sharp edge.

## Rick Hinderer Fieldtac 6 micarta handle

The handle is made from OD Green micarta. Micarta is a combination of canvas and synthetic resin. This material is known to be rock-solid and offers a lot of grip, even in wet circumstances. A perfect material for outdoor use! You can hold the knife in many different ways. The large finger groove before the edge, for instance, ensures that you can hold the knife close to the cutting surface. Great for the more detailed tasks. The handle is a little broader in the middle. As such you have enough grip during use. It makes the Fieldtac an incredibly versatile and all-round knife. A great choice when you can only bring one knife. The Rick Hinderer Fieldtac 6 comes with a Kydex sheath designed and made by David Brown.
