The Sakai Takayuki Tokujo osaka-saki kiridashi is a traditional Japanese knife. The kiridashi is one of the oldest Japanese knives. It was used for woodwork, leather crafts, sharpening pencils, cutting paper and much more. Because of its small size the knife also became popular for camping and hiking trips. In the kitchen, however, this knife is also incredibly versatile. Mostly as an eel knife in the Osaka region, for instance. An area on the east coast of Japan.
