The Spyderco Native 5 has been around since 1997 and has been one of the best-selling Spyderco knives. It is a luxurious version of the good old Native 5. The solid lock is a great feature of the Native 5. The spring of the back-lock helps it to open smoothly, but also locks the blade in opened position. The S30V-steel blade has a full-flat grind. This means the blade is sharpened from the back to the edge evenly.
