The **The James Brand The Carter KN108126-00 Black Carbon Fiber** is a lightweight EDC pocket knife with a sleek design. The Carter will be there for your every adventure, whether you're camping, kayaking or doing the odd job around the house. Even at the office, this blade with its thin grind will be great for opening packages or peeling an apple.

Its sleek silhouette and light weight ensure this pocket knife almost disappears in your trouser pocket. Still, The Carter offers 7 cm worth of blade length, which is more than enough for most EDC cutting tasks. You open the blade using the thumb disc on the spine of the blade. The main advantage of a disc is that you can also use it to apply force with your thumb during use. The Carter is equipped with a *slide lock*. This is similar to an Axis lock, but not exactly the same. One thing these mechanisms do have in common, though, is that they're suitable for both right-handed and left-handed use.

The blade of The James Brand Carter is made of VG10 steel. This steel retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen at home. In addition, VG10 is quite corrosion resistant, making it very low maintenance. The handle is made from carbon fibre, a rock-solid composite material made of carbon fibre and synthetic resin.

The design of the pocket clip is striking. Thanks to the way it was designed and attached, the knife will rest comfortably deep in your pocket. It's also great that you can easily switch the clip to the other side of the handle. This makes the Carter perfect for left-handed users as well.
