The **HORL Leather strop** is made from vegetable tanned cow leather. A strop is the final step in the sharpening process. The leather removes tiny imperfections behind the edge that were left behind after sharpening. Use the strop to make your knife even sharper and to give your knife edge a mirror finish. 

## Horl Leather use and stropping compound

You use the leather strop without a stropping compound. Leather has a natural stropping effect. A stropping compound is an abrasive that can be added to the surface of a strop to make it more efficient or to give it a specific micron. 

Usually a strop has a hard back. Mostly made from wood. This is not the case for this strop. The back is also made from leather. As such you can apply a stropping compound on the back of the strop and leave the top clean. Because it is not enhanced with a hard back, the strop is very flexible. We recommend placing the strop on a hard, flat surface during use.

Duidelijk effect te zien voor en na gebruik. 👌

Ce strop en cuir et d'une excellente qualité. Je m'en sers en complément de mon work Sharp professionnel. Il possède deux côtés. Un lisse pour de la pâte extra fine, et un côté rugueux pour de la pâte fine. Bref que du tout bon, ce produit est d'excellente qualité.
