The **Knafs Lander 4** is an EDC knife designed by **Ben Petersen**. During the design process, Ben asked himself: *'What is missing from the Lander series? ”* The answer was clear: *"A fixed EDC knife that is easy to carry.'*  

After several cardboard prototypes, he found the perfect design: a 3.5-finger grip with an excellent balance between blade and handle. For added control and grip, a **brass booster bead** was added, inspired by the Rocketdyne F-1 rocket motor that launched the Saturn V to space.




The blade of the Knafs Lander 4 KNAFS-00432 Black Sheep, fixed knife measures 6,6 cm in length and 2,54 mm in thickness. The total length is 15 cm.



## Blade Made of CPM S35VN Steel
The blade of this Knafs Lander is made from CPM S35VN steel. This is a premium stainless steel produced by Crucible Industries in the United States. S35VN retains its sharpness well, is quite tough and offers good corrosion resistance. CPM S35VN was developed as a successor to CPM S30V, in collaboration with world-renowned knife maker Chris Reeve.



The ‘stonewash’ process was chosen for the finish of this blade. The stonewash process involves the blade being placed inside a drum with ceramic stones, or media, and then vibrated or tumbled for several hours. The result is a finish that looks precisely polished or roughened depending on the version. The advantage of stonewashing, however, is that signs of use are much less noticeable. That makes it a popular choice for knives that see a lot of use.



## Micarta handle 
The handle of the Knafs Lander 4 KNAFS-00432 Black Sheep, fixed knife is made of micarta. This is a composite material made of fabric and synthetic resin. If you look closely, you can see a subtle texture on the surface, sometimes it looks almost like wood. This material is strong and stable, and it's very grippy.



The Knafs Lander 4 KNAFS-00432 Black Sheep, fixed knife comes with a sheath made of kydex, a sturdy plastic that will keep the steel safe. However, it is important to keep a kydex sheath clean on the inside. Rinse it regularly with water. This will prevent dirt from remaining in the sheath, which can scratch the blade.
