This **Lodge Grill Press with handle** is perfect to squeeze unwanted fat from meat, or to prepare te perfect panini in your pan or on the grill. The spiral handle ensures that the press won't become too hot. The grill press is made from strong cast iron and can immediately be used.


## Maintaining cast iron


 As the grill press is produced it is treated with vegetable oil based on soya. As a result you end up with a natural non-stick coating. And each time you use cast iron Lodge products, this non-stick coating will only become better. Maintaining it, however, is very important. Clean the press after use with water and a little bit of detergent. It is not dishwasher proof. If there is still some left-over food sticking to the pan, scrape it off with a [pan scraper.](kato://product/ LG-L-Scrcombo) Properly dry the press after cleaning it and add a small layer of [oil](kato://product/ LG-L-Aspray) to the pan. Always make sure you store the press in a dry place. Otherwise it can start to rust!
