Fox Knives Chnops: Italian gentleman's knives with a sleek profile
The Fox Knives Chnops series is a range of beautiful gentleman's knives characterised by their minimalist design and elegant appearance. What immediately stands out is the slim profile and the use of exceptional materials that contribute to the refined aesthetic of these knives. When the knife is closed, the blade almost seems to disappear into the handle. This results in an impressively compact design, despite the knife's relatively large size.
Features of the Fox Knives Chnops series
The knife was designed by Riccardo Gobbato. This is one of his first production designs. And he did a fantastic job! It's not often that a relatively new designer comes up with such a strong design. How we're supposed to pronounce 'Chnops' remains a mystery, but we do know what it stands for. It is an acronym for the most common elements of stainless steel (Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Phosphorus and Sulphur).
You open the Fox Knives Chnops with the front flipper. This is a mechanism that works like a flipper, except it's on the front of the blade. Although it may take some getting used to, this unique opening method perfectly complements the character of the exceptional Fox Knives Chnops.
The Chnops is available in various steel types including Becut, Böhler M390 and even Damasteel. In terms of material, there are many options to choose from! Think of titanium, carbon fibre, aluminium or micarta. These high-quality materials not only give the knife an attractive look, but also make for a lightweight and durable gentleman's knife.
