The Solstice series has blades made of CPM S35CVN and damascus steel. CPM S35VN is stainless, retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. Unsurprisingly, it is one of the most popular types of steel at the moment.

Damascus steel is gorgeous and super chic, but also made to be used. This steel is created by forging different types of steel together and folding it. Needless to say, this happens at very high temperatures and with outstanding craftsmanship.

Ocaso Solstice: handle

The Solstice is available in titanium scales or carbon fibre scales. Both materials are strong, yet nicely lightweight. Select your preferred blade style—straight, harpoon, or wharncliffe—and a handle in titanium or carbon fibre. With so many blade and handle options available, you can perfectly tailor the knife to your personal style.

The Ocaso Solstice features a pocket clip to ensure you can always keep it close. The pocket clip is nicely concealed at the back of the handle and can be placed on either the left or right.

Ocaso Solstice: the design

For designer Andrew Demko, the Solstice is actually an oddity. After all, he is known for his extreme hard use knives. The Solstice is many things, but it's not a knife for heavy-duty cutting work. It's a fancy gentleman's knife, plain and simple. Demko designed the Solstice at the request of Ocaso director Ric Valdez, a true gentleman. Andrew reflected: what kind of knife would suit Ric? He settled on an elegant EDC gentleman's knife.
