Features of the CRKT Pilar series
CRKT Pilar blade shapes
The CRKT Pilar is available in different blade shapes, including spear point, sheepsfoot and clip point. A spear point has a symmetrical tip and is good for general cutting tasks. A sheepsfoot has a blunt tip and a straight cutting edge, ideal for long and straight cuts. A clip point has a curved edge sloping upwards towards the tip, making it better at, for example, puncturing a package.
CRKT Pilar steel type
For the blade, CRKT and Jesper Voxnaes have chosen robust stainless steels such as Sandvik 12C27 and 8Cr13MoV. These strong steels are easy to sharpen. You easily open the blade one-handed thanks to the thumb hole or flipper.
CRKT Pilar handle
The CRKT Pilar is available in a complete stainless steel handle or with coloured G10 handle scales. Each Pilar has a complete stainless steel side with a very sturdy frame lock. On the back of the handle is a cord eye where you can tie a piece of paracord, for example.
