Different versions

Over the years, the CRKT Provoke has seen several versions, including the original CRKT Provoke, the CRKT Provoke First Responder, an EDC version with a drop-point blade and an unsharpened trainer version.

CRKT Provoke Kinematic

With your index finger through the ring, you push the blade into place with your thumb. The blade is kept in place by a sturdy lock. Because you also wrap your hand around the handle, you will make sure the knife stays open. With a somewhat hidden latch you can easily unlock the blade as well. It might take some getting used to at first, but when you are used to the Provoke it will be a piece of cake. CRKT Provoke steel types

Aside from the interesting mechanism, the Provoke is simply a great pocket knife. The CRKT Provoke karambits have a blade of stainless steel. Some versions have a coating to make the blade even more resistant to corrosion and scratches.

CRKT Provoke handle

You can discretely carry the CRKT Provoke in your pocket. The pocket clip is distinctive because you push it down on one side to make sure the end stands up. This means you can easily slip it into your pocket without it getting in the way.
