*'Let's do it again! But bigger! Better! Mooooarrr!'*, as Ben Petersen from Knafs says. And he's not wrong! The **Knafs Lander 2** is the larger, upgraded version of the Lander 1. Made in collaboration with Kizer Knives. The Lander 2 features some major upgrades like the steel and Clutch-Lock system.

Of course, the Lander 2 retains the features that made the Lander 1 so popular, for example, the easy-to-swap scales. This is possible without having to take the entire knife apart. You only need to remove the scales. Not only is this nice for knife maintenance reasons, it's also super easy to change the scales for separately sold ones.

## CPM S35VN tanto blade

Knafs listened to feedback from the community before designing the Lander 2. For those who found the Lander 1 to be a bit on the small side, the Lander 2 is a dream come true. The blade is 1 cm longer than the blade of the Lander 1. In addition, the steel type of the Lander 2 is a bit higher quality than that of its predecessor: CPM S35VN steel. This is a great powder steel with excellent sharpness retention.

## Clutch Lock mechanism

The linerlock has been replaced by a Clutch Lock. This is Kizer's version of the well-known Crossbar-Lock. A great, symmetrical mechanism we've seen before on Benchmade knives. It is easy to use by both left and right-handed users. A cool feature about the Clutch-Lock is that you can adjust the strength of the spring yourself. When you remove the scales, you will see five adjustment holes in the steel liners. By moving the end of the spring further or closer to the Clutch-Lock, you adjust the strength of the locking mechanism.

## Interchangeable scales

The scales are made from micarta. This is a strong composite material made from canvas and synthetic resin. Nicely lightweight and the subtle texture offers great grip.

This model is made in China by renowned knife maker Kizer.

## About Knafs

The name Knafs might sound a bit strange. But it is basically a different way of saying 'knives'. When you mispronounce the word you often hear 'knifes'. Add a southern accent and 'knifes' soon turns into knafs. Hence the name! You might know Ben Petersen as the designer of the WE Knife Banter and Civivi Baby Banter. And now he also has his own brand. Knafs!

Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
